Discount Cruises to Alaska

A spectacular adventure awaits you in America’s northwest frontier, Alaska. A cruise is the perfect way to experience the extraordinary natural beauty here: rocky shorelines, lush green hillsides framed by majestic mountains, and eagles soaring overhead. Before you, the incredible Hubbard Glacier, gleaming blue-white in the sun.

Explore the native American culture, with its rich and vibrant history. Shop for native handcrafts, like woodcarvings, weavings, and jewelry. Go on a whale watch, enjoy a day of sportfishing, or go hiking and explore the glaciers close-up. Then prepare yourself for a gourmet dinner with the freshest salmon you’ll ever taste!

Ships cruise the Inside Passage (starting north of the Canadian Border and running to the Gulf of Alaska), close to the coast for breathtaking views of glaciers, mountains, fjords, and forests. Some of the memorable places you’ll visit on an Alaskan cruise are…

HUBBARD GLACIER
Imagine sailing pristine blue waters to Disenchantment Bay, at the head of Yakutat Bay by the northern end of the Alaska panhandle. Before you, the spectacular Hubbard Glacier, calving enourmous sheets of ice into the sea with a crash and roar. Extending 76 miles from Mt. Logan in Yukon territory, it’s face is 6 miles across and over 300 feet high, making it the largest tidewater glacier in North America.

SKAGWAY
Skagway was once a major jumping-off point for gold rush adventurers. Thousands of treasure seekers began their enterprises here, at the northern tip of the Lynn Canal. After reaching Skagway via the Inside Passage, prospectors were greeted by a boisterous town filled with saloons, gamblers, and hucksters.

You can relive the memory of Skagway’s glory days at Klondike Gold Rush Historic park, or take a narrated Street Car tour. Local shops carry all sorts of souvenirs from native handcrafts to jewelry and ceramics.

JUNEAU
The state capital and third-largest city in Alaska, Juneau is a fascinating place alive with culture and spectacular natural beauty. The city lies at the foot of Mt.Juneau, facing the Gastineau Channel. Magnificent fjords are found adjacent to the channel coast; the monumental Mendenhall Glacier is also nearby.

You can take in one of the many historic sites, museums, or enjoy a trolley ride to see the sights. Flightseeing tours are available, as well as whale-watching and sea-kayaking excursions.

KETCHIKAN
In 1898, Ketchikan was at the heart of the Klondike Gold rush, a supply base and port for miners looking for riches and adventure in the great Northwest. The town’s vibrant past can still be experienced as you wander through its rustic streets, or see the sights by horse and buggy.

The town is deeply rooted in its history and native culture, and is home to the largest collection of totems in the world. Dance demonstrations, artifact and craft exhibits are often held at nearby heritage centers. For the adventurous, there’s sea-kayaking, hiking, and fishing. Ketchikan is known as “The Salmon Capital of the World”.
